The customer code is an 8-digit alphanumeric code that is automatically assigned to each contracted line.
You can check it on ①Web de Billing (au ID and password, 4-digit PIN code required) or ②My au app/My UQ mobile app. Also, it is displayed in the billing statement, and on the new contract/contract change customer's copy.

Depending on the procedure, you may be asked for a code with a similar name, such as Billing Code, so please check the name of the code you were asked for.
Log in to My au or My UQ mobile with your au ID.
Tap on "Billing" [請求書].
Tap on "Check Billing" [請求書の確認].
Enter your 4-digit PIN code.
Tap on "Open Breakdown" [内訳を開く] in the Billing Breakdown.
The "Customer Code" [お客様コード] is displayed in the usage breakdown for each line.
The "Customer Code" [お客様コード] is not required for a new au ID registration or password reset.

If an error occurs even after following the correct steps, you will need to set up using the "Customer Code" [お客様コード].
