【au Hikari】How should I do return the devices when moving or canceling au Hikari? (Return the modem, home gateway (router) and ONU )

Please see below for instructions on how to return your device when moving or canceling your contract.

In case of moving

Please bring the connection devices you were using before moving to your new residence.
Upon moving to your new residence, KDDI will send you a new device for use. (Depending on certain moving conditions, it may also be possible to continue using the same one.)
After installing the new device, please return the one you were using before moving using the cash-on-delivery slip (COD) sent by KDDI.

  • The return slip will be sent to the address you used before moving, so please go to the post office in advance to forward your mail.

  • The returning slip may arrive approximately 10 days after your inquiry

  • Please refer to the illustration below for the return procedure

In case of cancellation

After completing the cancellation procedure, KDDI will send you a cash-on-delivery slip (COD) for returning the device, so please use that slip.

  • The return slip may arrive approximately 10 days after your inquiry.

  • If the rental device is not returned within a certain period, a penalty fee will be charged according to the usage period.

  • There are cases where rental device is returned without completing the cancellation procedure. Please be sure to complete the cancellation procedure before returning the rental device. For cancellation procedures, please contact the KDDI Customer Center.

  • Please remember to include the AC adapter when returning the equipment
