I want to change my au 4-digit PIN code (I know my current PIN code)
You can change your PIN code from the My au app or the website. To change it, you need your au ID/au ID password.
- Please note that the "PIN" referred to in this page is the 4-digit PIN code you set when you signed up with au.

If you do not know either the current PIN code nor the au ID and password or, it is a corporate contract or, there is a registered user, please follow one of the procedures below.

If you do not know the current 4-digit PIN code, but you know the au ID or, the contract is other than corporate contract or, there is not a registered user, please see below.

PIN code and au ID password are different items.

PIN code: A 4-digit number set by the customer at the time of the new contract for a smartphone or a tablet, etc.

au ID: The default au ID is always the phone number
- au ID password: Set by the customer during the initial setup. It is composed by eight or more mixed half-width alphanumeric characters (symbols allowed). Example: 1234abcd

PIN code: A 4-digit number set by the customer at the time of the new contract for a smartphone or a tablet, etc.

Change from My au app (if you know the current PIN code)

Open the My au app.

Tap on the person-like mark at the bottom of the screen.

Tap on "Details/Changes for Customer & Billing Information"[お客様登録・ご請求情報の確認・変更].

Tap on "Customer Information" [お客様登録情報].

In the PIN code field, tap on "Change"[変更].

Enter your au ID password and tap on [OK].

Enter your PIN code and tap on [OK].
- Please note that if you incorrectly input your PIN code three times in the same day, you will not be able to change your PIN code until the next day.

Enter the new PIN code in the two fields and tap on "Change" [変更].
- It is not possible to set a PIN code that you used in the past.

The PIN code change is now complete.
To change from the web (when you know your au ID)

Access the au ID Member Information Site from the link below.

Tap on [MENU] at the top right.
- If you are accessing from a PC, tap on "Member Information"[会員情報] on the right side of the screen.

Tap on "au ID Member Information" [会員情報].

In the "PIN code"[暗証番号] field, tap on "Change"[変更].

Enter your au ID password and tap on [OK].

Enter your PIN code and tap on [OK].
- Please note that if you incorrectly input your PIN code three times in the same day, you will not be able to change your PIN code until the next day.

Enter the new PIN code in the two fields and tap on "Change"[変更].
- You cannot set a PIN code that you have set in the past.
