【au ID】I want to set up biometric authentication for my au ID

Conditions for Biometric authentication login:
Android: Android 7.0 or higher and using Chrome browser
iOS: iOS 14.0 or higher and using Safari

To change it, you need to log in with your current au ID and password.
If the au ID is linked to povo1.0 plan or UQ mobile (5G compatible plan) contract, you will need to turn off Wi-Fi and connect via 5G/4G LTE to do the procedure.

Removing biometric authentication

First, it is required to set up a fingerprint authentication on your device.

Access and log in to the
au ID Membership Information Site.

Please log in by entering your current au ID and password

Tap on "Next" [次へ].

For Android users

For iOS users

Enter the verification code sent to the phone where you want to set up fingerprint authentication and tap on "Next" [次へ].

If this screen is not displayed, proceed to step 4.

Tap on "Next" [次へ] to complete the setup.

With this setting, you can only log in on the device used for the setup. (Some devices are not eligible)

Access the
au ID Membership Information Site.

Tap on the [MENU] icon at the top right of the screen, and then tap on "Fingerprint/Face Recognition Login Settings" [指紋・顔認証によるログイン設定].

Select the device you want to remove the biometric authentication from "Registered Devices" [登録している端末] and tap on "Remove Registered Device" [登録済端末を解除].

Tap on "Remove Registered Device" [登録済端末を解除] to complete the process.
