【au/UQ mobile】How can I locate my lost phone using the Location Search Support feature?

Here is the method to locate a lost mobile phone using the Location Search Support feature.

Procedures for au customers

  • 1

    From a PC or a smartphone other than the one you want to locate, access the page When you are in trouble with theft or loss 

  • 2

    Tap on "Search" [探してみる] in the "Search for au mobile phone 1" [①au携帯電話を探す] section.

  • 3

    Log in with the au ID of the au mobile phone you want to locate.

    • If you are logged in with an au ID from another contract, tap on "au ID Logout" [au ID ログアウトする] at the bottom of the screen and log in again with the au ID of the au mobile phone you want to search for location
  • 4

    Tap on "Use it" [利用する] in the "Find my phone/Remote lock" [携帯電話を探す/遠隔ロック] section.

  • 5

    Enter the 4-digit PIN you set at the time of contract and tap on "Next"[次へ].

    • Click here if you forgot your 4-digit PIN.

    Check the contents of the "Location Search Support Terms of Use" [位置検索サポート利用規約] and tap on "I agree to the Location Search Support Terms of Use and its use"[位置検索サポート利用規約に同意の上、利用する].

    Tap on "Search"[検索].

    Tap on [YES].

    Location information will be displayed. To end the search, tap on "au ID Logout"[au ID ログアウトする]at the bottom of the screen.

For UQ mobile (5G compatible plan) customers

    From a PC or a smartphone other than the one you want to locate, access the page When you are in trouble with theft or loss

     Tap on "Click to use it"[ご利用はこちら]in the "Search mobile phone location information" [携帯電話の位置情報を検索する].

    Log in with the au ID of the UQ mobile phone you want to locate.

    • If you are logged in with an au ID from another contract, tap on "au ID Logout"[au ID ログアウトする]at the bottom of the screen and log in again with the au ID of the au mobile phone you want to search for location

    Tap on "Use it"[利用する]in the "Find my phone/Remote lock" [携帯電話を探す/遠隔ロック] section.

  • 5

    Enter the 4-digit PIN you set at the time of contract and tap on "Next"[次へ].

    • Click here if you forgot your 4-digit PIN (in Japanese only)

    Location information will be displayed. To end the search, tap on "au ID Logout"[au ID ログアウトする]at the bottom of the screen.
