【au PAY】What is balance?
The au PAY balance can be used for various payments, including au PAY app, au PAY prepaid card, and au Easy Payment (au PAY balance payment).
Important notes
- When using the au PAY balance with an au PAY prepaid card, the total purchase amount must be from 1 yen (including tax), and the transaction must be made in a single payment.
- When using the au PAY balance with an au PAY app (code payment), the total purchase amount must be from 1 yen (including tax), and the transaction must be made in a single payment.
About au PAY balance
- The au PAY balance is used as a common balance for both au PAY app (code payment) and au PAY prepaid card (au WALLET prepaid card).

The au PAY balance can be charged (topped up) using the au PAY app, Lawson Bank ATMs, and other methods.

The au PAY balance does not have an expiration date.
- Customers who canceled their au communication contract before August 18, 2019, and customers who transferred their contract within the family, should be aware that their au Pay balance will expire after their prepaid card’s expiration date. Make sure to use your au PAY balance within the expiration date.
