【Ponta Point】Can I use Ponta points to pay my au monthly charges?

Yes, you can.

Please see below for details about usage conditions and procedure.

Important notes

  • For the charges (including tax) of the au line you applied for, a specified amount will be deducted from your Ponta points for a certain period starting from the following month.
  • The applicable Ponta points will be deducted at the time of application.

    cancellation, change of course, or addition of courses is not possible after application.

  • Even if your bill is combined with other au lines or services, only the bill for the au line you have applied for will be eligible for the deduction.
  • If the eligible charge is less than the monthly deduction amount, they will be used as the maximum deduction.

    In this case, Ponta points will not be refunded.

  • If you cancel the au line or migrate your number to UQ mobile / povo during the deduction period, the deduction of Ponta points will end with the charges for the month in which the cancellation or number migration occurs. In this case, Ponta points will not be refunded.
  • The following charges are not eligible for deduction.

About the points usage

Conditions for use

You must have au line that has au PAY* or au PAY Card. 

  • Includes those who only use au PAY prepaid card

Eligibility for the discount

  • Applies to charges for au mobile phone (smartphone/4G LTE mobile phone/tablet/router, etc.) after all discounts have been applied.
  • Ponta points cannot be used to the charges of UQ mobile
  • Even if your bill is combined, only the bill for the au line you have applied for will be eligible for the deduction.

Available points & Discount period

The discount will start from the usage of the month you applied (billed the following month).

Example: If you apply in February, the discount will start from the usage of February (billed in March).

Please choose from the three courses below.

Use 3,000 points: Monthly discount of 500 yen/Total discount of 3,000 yen

Use 6,000 points: Monthly discount of 1,000 yen/Total discount of 6,000 yen

Use 12,000 points: Monthly discount of 2,000 yen/Total discount of 12,000 yen

Once you apply, the points will be used for the selected course, and will be discounted from the monthly charges during the next 6 months.
