What is data transmission speed reduction?

It is when your monthly data transmission amount exceeds your plan's limit, reducing the transmission speed until the end of the month. Affected customers will be notified by email (SMS or email) before and after the data transmission speed restriction.

In addition, for customers who use a large amount of data communication within a certain period, the communication speed may be restricted during peak hours to avoid network congestion.

Important note

I would like to know the timing of when the speed reduction will be lifted

It will be lifted gradually from the 1st of the following month.

If I continue to use the service while the transmission speed is reduced, will I be charged an additional fee?

No, there are no additional charges for any data that you use while the speed is reduced.

I would like to use my data comfortably even if a transmission speed reduction is imposed until it is lifted

You can use it comfortably until the data speed restriction is lifted by using Wi-Fi or purchasing additional data capacity.

Using Wi-Fi or WiMAX communication

Use of Wi-Fi at home, au Wi-Fi SPOT, or WiMAX communication is not subject to transmission speed reduction, so you can use it without any concern.

Charge (Purchase) more data

Even if you use up the monthly data capacity of your data flat service/plan in the middle of the month, you can continue to use the service without speed restrictions by charging (purchasing) additional data.

If your data usage exceeds a certain amount during the month and you are approaching the transmission speed restriction, or after you have reached your monthly data limit, you will receive a notification email (SMS or email).
